Who is Julian Barnes?

Julian Patrick Barnes (born 19 January 1946)
Julian Barnes is an English writer. He is the author of several books of stories, essays, a translation of Alphonse Daudet’s In the Land of Pain, and numerous novels, including the 2011 Man Booker Prize winning novel The Sense of an Ending and the acclaimed The Noise of Time. In 2004 he became a Commandeur of L’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. His honours also include the Somerset Maugham Award and the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize.
